This week, I followed 5 more accounts that may help with my research on Twitter. One account I would recommend to my classmates is James Oxley. He works on dog bite prevention and the involvement of pets in human mental health. This account may be very helpful for my classmate whose interest in researching dogs. Personally, I think pets play a important role in human mental health because our pets always love us no matter what. They have a valuable trait that even many humans don't have, which is loyalty. I will be very excited if my classmates' research could prove this! Another account I would recommend to my classmates is Anthrozoös Journal. This account has a lot of information about the interactions between humans and animals. We can find interesting facts of different animals in this one single account! I think this account would be a good follow option for all my classmates.
The blog I read this week is made by Shawn Lee. This is the link to that blog! Shawn did a great job explaining why she recommend the accounts she recommended. I can easily find out which account could best serve me in my own research. Another thing I like about her blog is the typesetting. Shawn used underline to mark the title of each section, bolded the subsection, and added bullet points for each statements. This typesetting make everything so clear and this blog so easy to read. Love it a lot!
One tweet I commented on and liked was made by Juliana Granillo. Juliana shared a research article about how the dogs feel about the relationship between them and us. The article suggested that the relationship between us and dogs depends on what they experience and feel. This result supports the argument made in Bird Brain which is that animals are conscious and their behavior depends on their mind. I really like this information Juliana shared because I always wonder what my dog is thinking and their thought about us.

I also found two very interesting anecdotes about humans and coyotes by using ChatGPT. I was searching using the prompt of "Tell me a true story about coyotes and humans". The first story that grabbed my attention is the story of a coyote in Chicago, named Hollywood. Chicago is a well-known big city with heavy traffic every single day. However, Hollywood can navigate in the downtown unhindered. Hollywood travels to downtown by following the railroad from the surrounding suburbs. Addition on that, Hollywood is very good at escaping capture. Eventually, the wildlife authorities managed to capture it and transferred it to a place with more suitable living condition. I think this story is very cool because Hollywood's skill of navigating in the city with busy traffic is very amazing, and not every human could do it. It also acknowledged the fact that the railroads connect the suburbs and the city. These are all evidence of coyotes intelligence. Hollywood also showed the adaptability of coyotes. They can thrive in either wild and urban environment.

Another interesting anecdote I found is about a coyote taking care of kittens. I got this story by simply ask ChatGPT to give me another true story about coyotes and humans. The story starts from a family living in Orange County noticed that there is always a coyote wondering around their house. After a few days of observation, they narrowed down the coyote's patrol area to their backyard. After checking, the family found a litter of abandoned kittens in the bushes in near their backyard. The coyote was taking care of them and adopted them instead of killing and eating them. The coyotes also bring them food and keep them warm. This story moved me a lot because it is an amazing relationship between the prey and the predator. The wild animals are also capable of displaying kindness and love to a different creature. This is completely opposite to what we usually thought about the wild animals.
HI DEREK! THANK YOU FOR SHARING THIS INFORMATION. I AM INTERESTED IN RESEARCHING DOGS AND YOU PROVIDED INSIGHTFUL RESOURCES AND INFORMATION ABOUT THEM. THANKS TO YOU I FOUND ANOTHER TWITTER ACCOUNT THAT I COULD USE FOR MY RESEARCH. NOW YOU HAVE ME THINKING WHAT MY DOG THINKS ABOUT ME HAHA
